Scout's Snow Day

2 years ago my mother in-law gave Matt and I metal detectors. She obviously knows that we love adventure and discovering little treasures.

I love portable food

The other night I wanted to bake. I had some pie pastry in the freezer and some apples in the fridge so I whipped up some hand pies.

I don't have a recipe for you since I made it up as I went. Just the usual apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, little butter and a pinch of salt.

Then last night we went to Jimmy Buffett in Columbia which was my gift from Matt. It was soooo much fun and the most colorful concert I've ever been too!

Food Poisoning

I tried to work today but on my way in I had to pull over and vomit at a gas station.

I am giving up my excuses of not going to the gym!

I know its bad that I'm posting about JCrew bathing suits since my last post was about snow.

I just am looking forward to beach season.

Snow Part 2

I had a feeling that fellow blogger Joan Perry would have some pictures of the snow as well. This one of the Snowmen on the Peninsula's Battery is my fave. I just love the use of the palm fronds.

Weather Outside is Frightful

I never thought I'd see it, but this past Saturday it snowed in the Lowcountry. I was closing the Spa that night and they had me spend the night in the hotel to insure it was opened in the morning. So unfortunately I missed out on the fun at home w/ Matt and Scout.

My wonderful husband made sure to grab my camera and take pics for me.

I'm happy that it melted quickly. In fact, today when I woke up it was 63 outside.

Here a moo, there a moo

The Ishee's are shareholders for a local farm. The Ambrose Family Farm's CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a great way to support local farming and eat healthy organic vegetables. The Spring season starts in April and goes until Mid July. Then starts the Fall season.

Each member gets a box of vegetables every week. They can either pick it up at the farm or choose a pick up location close to home. I am able to ride my bike to mine. Thank you Matt for the basket on my bike for Christmas!!
